Some devices, particularly older routers, switches, or IP cameras, do not have a DHCP server enabled by default. This means your computer won't automatically obtain an IP address. In this case, you will need to manually set a static IP address on your computer within the same subnet as the device (192.168.1.x), such as 192.168.1.50 , to establish a connection.
Change the default router management password ( admin ) to something secure to prevent unauthorized access.
: Ensure your computer is set to "Obtain an IP address automatically" in your network settings.
ipconfig
ifconfig | grep inet
Use an Ethernet cable to connect your computer to one of the LAN ports on the router.
Navigate to , Wireless Settings , or Basic Configuration .
