The PS3 modding scene occupies a legal gray area. Downloading and using RAP files for games you do not own a physical copy of is a form of piracy. However, for many, the use of these files is a critical form of game preservation. The closure of the PS3's official storefront made many titles inaccessible for legitimate purchase.

Copy the RAP files you wish to install into the exdata folder you just created. For users with the "All Rap Files" collection, you would copy the entire set here.

: Create a folder named exdata (all lowercase) on the root of your USB drive.

The PS2 Classics RAP file is often tied to a specific CONFIG file. Solution: You must place the ISO.BIN.ENC file and the CONFIG file in /PS2ISO/ . The RAP only unlocks the emulator; the CONFIG fixes graphical glitches.

Are you setting this up on a or the RPCS3 emulator ?

: Use a FAT32 USB drive (NTFS or exFAT will not work for direct RAP detection).

Copy the .rap files from dev_usb000/exdata/ to the PS3’s internal hard drive directory: dev_hdd0/exdata/ .
