The KB926QF relies on configuration firmware to operate. On many motherboard designs, it automatically loads its execution code from the main system SPI BIOS chip upon power-up. However, in specific board architectures, the EC architecture requires direct programming of an internal or dedicated companion flash memory. If you replace the IC with a brand-new factory chip and the board fails to respond, you may need an RT809F, SVOD, or Vertyanov programmer to flash the specific EC bin file tailored to your exact motherboard model.
