Dupe your vocal track. Insert Speachy on the duplicate. Set Morph to 100% (wet), Vowel to random, Noise Floor to 60%. Blend this "ghost" track 10-15 dB below the dry vocal. You will retain intelligibility while gaining a subconscious, breathy harmonic layer.
Expected result: Glitchy, bit-crushed percussion. Actual result: This is where Speachy shines. The kick drum was reinterpreted as a deep, throaty "Uuuuh," the snare became a sharp "Tsssk," and the hi-hats turned into sibilant hissing. Running a drum break through Speachy and blending it with the dry signal (Morph at 40%) creates a hybrid beat that feels human and alien simultaneously. : Automatically tames piercing sibilance and harsh "S"
Despite these minor issues, the plugin never crashed the host DAW, which is more than can be said for many "experimental" plugins on the market.
For Mac users, a separate version exists as an Audio Unit (AU) and other formats, but this review focuses exclusively on the Windows release.
